All
the basics of portraiture in one course. We will draw in the correct order, as it is common in art schools: first layout, then proportions, general construction, then construction of individual facial features. At the end - the state! Your portrait will be exactly built up and your facial features will no longer wander around in confusion. Your portraits will no longer be distorted and crooked - everything will literally fall into place when you understand the build. Immediately following the construction will be a complete check-up. Without a check-up of the construction by the instructor, the student does not move on to hatching, i.e. rendering to volume, ever!!! Our course will do the same! We will find the light and shadow, and the correct shadow boundary. After that we will move on to halftones. During this time we will recognize and learn: 1. facial proportions that you can use whichever face you are not drawing. 2. how to avoid asymmetries and distortions of the face that cause artists bitterness 3. how perspective affects and distorts (?) faces 4. we will separately and precisely master the construction of the most complex features of the face: the eye and the nose 5. we will learn that it is possible to hatch the face not just by shape, but, as an option, by the direction of the fibers of the forming muscles of the face! 6. we will learn that face sculpting and make-up came from academic drawing! 7. we will learn the history of the beautiful woman and the specific techniques of the sculptors of the early Hellenistic period.
